Manufacturing Process

The devil is in the detail

Every detail of my chair includes countless hours of hard work and scrutiny. I met more than twenty times with factory craftsmen, sent hundreds of emails and spent hours on phone calls to the builders. All of this communication was done in an effort to find the best way of practically fabricating the chair, while still maintaining the integrity of the design. Working with fabricators gave me, not only a deeper understanding of material and craftsmanship, but also the balance of being persistent yet cooperative in realizing the design.
